Lopez-Cantera continues his challenge to Beruff: Stop Dodging Floridians
Continuing to dodge voters, Carlos Beruff seems to be refusing to attend any events where another candidate is present.
Beruff’s last minute cancellations are a disservice to Florida voters, who deserve to hear from all candidates who are seeking to succeed Marco Rubio in the most critical Senate election in the country. In anticipation of this weekend’s campaign events, Carlos Lopez-Cantera issued the following challenge to Carlos Beruff:
“We spend a lot of time on the road on this campaign, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I enjoy being out talking to Floridians, especially when other candidates are present. That’s the important part of the electoral process that makes this country so great.
"I’m excited to be heading back to Mr. Beruff’s backyard this weekend for the NOVA Republican Club Picnic in Venice to continue speaking with Floridians about how I plan on taking the same tax cuts and jobs results to Washington, D.C. that Governor Scott and I have delivered on here in Florida.
“So Mr. Beruff, here is my challenge to you; voters deserve to hear why you thought it was appropriate to support Charlie Crist after he left the Republican Party and voters deserve to hear why you took a hard stance against Obama’s Cuba policy when you yourself traveled to Cuba to advocate for Obama’s policies.
“If you are not afraid to answer these questions and maybe a few more, I look forward to seeing you there, and to avoid any urge to speed, I am happy to send an Uber to pick you up and drop you back off,” said Lopez-Cantera.
Earlier this week the Lopez-Cantera for U.S. Senate campaign called attention to Beruff's recent dodging of forums.
